yup, it means that if they didnt play any spells in the 2 turns they had (if you went first)... it not only kills them with infect... it also makes them lose everything they had on the board... could be demoralizing...

Since you aren't using the boots except for the hexproof effect, you could skip the agent and boots and just use Invisible Stalker. Sure its not a guaranteed win in one hit, but as you said, turn 3 swing for 11 life and 2 permanents from the annihilator. Short of life gain effects, that will end it turn 4, and they will be unable to really do anything to stop it anyway.

this works... even against stuff like worship and life gain as a turn 3 kill... i think the blighted agent is way better than the Invisible Stalker because with the agent, once you have the greaves on it... the agent has 6 abilities... and all have a relevant effect on the game (except trample for this combo)... the Invisible Stalker would be redundant for ability, as hexproof with shroud is useless

only way someone can ohld off with this... is if someone plays something that makes an opponent sacrifice an attacking creature... and be able to cast it (or counter spells... )

Geth's Verdict came out in the same set as Blighted Agent. Fog could slow it down too.

Geth's Verdict is a great card... i like it for most of my black edh decks...

and yea... there are ways to deal with this, but there are very few ways...

My point was to skip the greaves altogether with the Invisible Stalker. Attacking for 1 point of unblockable damage is nothing compared to the 11 next turn, and as you said the shroud is overlapping (actually worse than) the hexproof native to the stalker.

I have to agree with Terakhan, Invisible stalker would be a safer bet and requires less cards. With the boots someone can always kill the agent with an instant speed removal spell in response to the boots being equipped. Or if you don't have the boots, you're killing them on turn 4 anyways with the agent and your creature doesn't have evasion.

Although, I suppose you could always run both... I just feel like agent is kind of win-more in this case.

the 1 damage per turn would be irritating... thus why the eldrazi conscription... and it would be infect... soo... yea... it would be a single hti to die from that

the reason for the boots also... is mana curve... only 2 to cast... and 0 to equip... i dont think there is any other equipment that effieience that allows haste effect
