Swamp is mortus strider. With all in play, tap all your lands to keep mana in your pool, use two of it to trigger the apprentice's ability, targeting mortus strider, then untapping all of your lands to repeat the process. Go Homoculie!

so either you need three dual lands with swamp and island as second type beside forest or replace living lands by living plane or add colored elves as mana base...

You know as well as i do that 3 colors isn't hard to pull off, especially if its in edh.

I do know this. I just have shown the weakness of your posting that either
- you need forests which provide u or b mana or
- use living plane instead of living lands or
- add additional creature based mana base.
Without at least one of this changes your "Combo" doesn't work.

Considering living lands makes them 1/1 creatures, that part works. The apprentice untaps itself when intruder alarm is out, also untapping all the lands used as a mana source, so that works. And mortus strider is sacked because of the apprentice, and the mana can be tapped again to recast mortus strider to keep the combo functional. How doesn't it work?

While it does work, its four cards across three colors. If you're dead-set on homunculi-based victory, I recommend dropping Mortus Strider in favor of Parallel Lives. Its costs 1 more mana, but one less color as well.

And what he is talking about is that Living Lands only animates FORESTS, not all lands, hence his recommendation of using Living Plane instead, which will animate all lands.
