Since any counters that would be placed on Tatterkite just fall off, it seems the perfect place to put a Krovikan Plague. Retain priority and just spam the heck out the plague-granted damage ability. In the end, all you will end up with is a lot of dead targets and a tapped 'kite.
That is, if you don't just aim it all at your opponent.

doesnt work because it has been errata'd to say
"Tap enchanted creature: Krovikan Plague deals 1 damage to target creature or player. Put a -0/-1 counter on enchanted creature. Activate this ability only if enchanted creature is untapped."
however, it is a card i think i will add to some of my edh decks... to play on opponents really nasty critters (eldrazi or generals or???...)

Yeah, I must have been looking at the old version of it. Still, the 'kite won't die from its counters, so that is something at least.
