More synergy than a combo I suppose, but I've merrily flung many a goblin like this.
Have Stonewright paired with Spikeshot Goblin and use the mana from Braid of Fire to pump him up as much as you can. Use the mana from your lands to activate spikeshot, and once they are close enough to death, Brion Stoutarm.
Testament of Faith and Spikeshot Elder are also excellent mana sinkholes for Braid of Fire.

M11 ruled that mana empties at the end of each phase so Braid of Fire is useless.

just because it emptys at the end of phase doesnt mean braid is useless. activated abilities can be played at anytime you have priority even upkeep. firebreathing is an activated ability ie...pump during the upkeep using braids mana
