Island is Hidden Strings from dragon's maze. Liquimetal Coating, on the other had, is Strionic Resonator. And Cabal Coffers is Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. With the land and resonator in play, cast Hidden Strings and cipher it onto a creature. When the creature swings, tap down the land using its ability, and use the mana to pay for the resonator. Choose to copy the cipher trigger, and untap the land and artifact until you have all the mana you need. This works when the devotion is 3 or greater for any color of your choice.

Its going to take more than 3 devotion for this to do much. Its devotion-based mana ability costs 2 to activate, plus the 2 for the resonator. So you'll need a minimum of 5 devotion to gain any mana out of this loop, and 4 just to break even, and maybe spam some casting triggers.

Why would you use that with the new land? It has a devotion trigger, meaning that the amount of mana on board doesn't make a difference. The only thing that matters essentially is the mana symbols in casting costs of your permanents. Yes, the same could be done with urborg and cabal coffers, but it requires an extra card, limiting the utility of the combo. And honestly, I see this in play in a simic style deck or a mono blue deck in the near future to maximize the curve, seeing as the same could be done with two verdant haven on a land in standard, or an enter the infinite could be potentially played turn 4.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but does not the Resonator have the same errata as Mirari? Else Seething Song and Mirari would allow for infinite red mana...

@Boyachi-I understand how this is can be confusing so Ill try to break it down.  1st off no they do not have exactly the same errta, mirari relies on the trigger that occurs from casting.  like only 1 "begining of upkeep"  there is only 1 trigger so only 1 opportunity to respond.  Basically it relies on the spell being put on the stack

strionic on the other hand doesn't rely on a trigger, but rather an trigger ability that is already on the stack.  Since it stays on the stack until it resolves it can be copied over and over again.

@chewy-the adding of one card to make urborg work is not a big deal especially since you will need to add at least 1 to your combo to make it work as well, And your1 has to be at least 5cmc of one color otherwise you will need to add more,

Though this is true, the utility can be used in any color now, and because of that, I'd personally put it up there with cabal coffers, if not over it in a lot of cases. This land has some great potential. My goal was to show some of that potential it possessed. And it relies on permanents, yes, but it's really something you'd pull off mid game rather than off the bat anyways. And the same can be said for cabal coffers with urborg in that instance unless you somehow managed to get the perfect hand for either.
