with all cards out, you can keep them from ever keeping a drawn card without a penalty and if they decide to stop you they will eventually run out of life to pay.

Doesn't work. Zur's Weirding stops it from going to their hand in the first place, so it can't be discarded.

Bloodchief Ascension will do the trick though.

you know what i just noticed they changed the text on the card. older prints said discard right on the card.

the card says discard right on it, but the rulings say otherwise?... wtf...

i remember in the rule books they used to print that it said specifically that if a card text would break the rules of the game, the card text overrides the rules if in conflict

The card still trumps the rules, when the card itself causes a rule violation, like Relentless Rats ability to use more than four, or Mirror Gallery turning off the legend rule. Errata to how cards work is a different kettle of fish.
