Island is Elite Arcanist.

Immortality MK3 fell victim to Planechase and Archenemy cards. So here is my take on it. Since Schemes enter play in Main Phase One and the Planechase Die can only be rolled as a sorcery, I use Time Stop and Elite Arcanist to make the Opponent have to skip his turn as much as I want. Iona and Painter shut down any spells, stabilizer prevents cycling. Grafdigger prevents stuff like Flashback, Unearth etc. to happen. Platinum Angel and Avacyn, as well as PP explain themselves. The real beauty in this lockdown is Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur. This prevents your opponent from accumulating handcards to use for certain vanguard cards and dropping spirit guides from creating mana.

The problem with these little "combos" is they assume your opponent has done NOTHING the entire game and has let you get all this crap onto the field without interacting in any way with it. This will NEVER occur unless your opponent is a moron.

For the sake of argument, lets say you do find the unbeatable 10-20 card combo. What then? Build an entire deck dedicated to taking 20 turns to tell your opponent they can't play anymore?

I actually just saw people trying that and wanted my attempt on the matter. I don't say like "This is the best thing ever" :3

This version also assumes its a 1 vs 1 match and that reliquary tower isn't in play. To hold them off as far as cards go, go sire of insanity. I can give a 5 card lock based on an old combo of mine to shut the game down. But this is in a good direction. Also, use hive mind. Might make things easier

Yes, this does assume the opponent has no cards. I was merely adding to the old idea I saw posted here.
