get contamination and bitterblossom into play turn 2 with dark ritual turn 1 with 2. use Dawn of the Dead and Kokusho, the Evening Star for later in game.

I'm not trying to be mean but the trick to pulling this off is actually DRAWING 2 Dark rituals. You're opening hand will have to be all THESE cards PLUS 2 Dark Rituals.

A single dark ritual wont speed this combo up at all, while 2 allows for a turn 1 contamination/bitterblossom. Even without the dark rituals, this combo could be running turn 3.

Narcinek, I think the poster is just suggesting kokusho/day of the dead should be in the deck so you can hopefully draw into them (or search for them) before bitterblossom kills you. With any luck, you won't be playing a solid black deck

I run these cards in a black green reanimation deck with birds of paradise and eternal witness.

Then it sounds like you wouldn't want this up and running turn 1, since it would stop you from being able to cast any of your green cards. Plus, a turn one Birds of Paradise allows for a turn 2 Dark Ritual to get this up and running.

Regardless, I like the combination, so nice work. Unfortunately, a play set of bitterblossoms and contaminations isn't cheap, and kokusho manages to drive the cost up even further. Even worse, my play group doesn't like mana manipulation.
