Does not work. Flash does not create a triggered sacrifice ability, the mana-or-sacrifice choice is still part of the flash spell itself. And you cannot do anything else while an effect is resolving, so you can't save the creature with Saffi.

actually, last time i looked, you can respond to anything happening, as long as it is not fully happened yet, so, when the sacrifice part is on the stack, i think saffi could possibly work for this... but.... if you wait till after the creature is sacrificed and already in the grave before using saffis ability... then saffi wont work

sacrifice in response to another sacrifice ability going to the stack can be done, as long as you are not trying to use sacrifice for the same permanent more than once per trigger state effect... correct me if i am wrong

2nd-terakhan is correct, the entering and sacing is all part of the resolution of the spell.  Other abilities can't be played while its resolving, you need to have priority to do that which won't occur until after the payment is made or the sac occurs.  the creature isn't in play long enough for saffi to effect it. 

What you could do is...

Flash causes the creature to enter the battlefield and then die is payment is not made all during its resolution.  Since it enters and leaves all ETB's and LTB's trigger but do not go on the stack till flash finishes resolving.  Flash in something like Karmic Guide or Bladewing the Risen (graveyard to play or the like abilities) what happens using bladewingis, bladewing enters via flash and its ETB triggers, payment is not made so its sacced, bladewings triggers then goes on the stack and targets are chosen, at this time since bladwing is in the grave its a legal target for its own ability, bring back the bladewing, the ability triggers again allowing another dragon to come out.  Same thing for Karmic guide without the dragon restriction.

2 creatures at instant speed for 1U
and throw in that new copy trigger ability card for a total of 4 mana, and a buried alive is 3 mana

ok, ill trust gericault5 on this one, there are very few people i would concede the rules to, but gericault5 is one of them, so i stand corrected
