If Sower of Temptation leaves the battlefield before the ability resolves, the ability will have no effect.
Basically, the same ruling will apply. I guarantee it.

Strictly worse version of:
since the ruling on Fiend Hunter states:
"9/22/2011: If Fiend Hunter leaves the battlefield before
its first ability has resolved, its second ability will trigger and do
nothing. Then its first ability will resolve and exile the targeted
creature indefinitely."
allowing for shenanigans with Cloud Shift and/or Deadeye Navigator. It would be nice if they just made it a functional reprint of Fiend Hunter but it is phrased differently so that is probably to stop the shenanigans.
