Village bell-ringer is itself or aurelia, the warleader. Mountain is skarrg guildmage. Forest is verdant haven. This hits 4 colors, but done the right way goes crazy. With skarrg, turn the haven land into a creature for the turn. With deadeye soulbound to the ringer or the warleader, bounce accordingly to the card played to do either effect. Not really playable, but entertaining

It is more playable with RtR's Mana Bloom and Chromatic Lantern.

This is true, as well as with ramp and shocklands. But would you play it?

If I had the time and money to play standard, yes, I would try it out. They wouldn't see it coming.
