Not exactly an epic combo, but playable in pretty much any mono-black deck able to run Gate to Phyrexia. Tap the coating to make the permanent of your choice an artifact, sac the skeleton to the gate to destroy it, then return it on your next upkeep and do it again.

Breeding Pit
with it so you don't have to lose any card advantage at all
