My friends is playing this combo. and grants protection to the flagbearer with the enchant.

But I wonder, if it gains proRed, and I play .... lighning Helix for exemple, I cant target the bearer du to its proRed, but the bearer says I must target the bearer ... does the spell resolve as normal or it just fizzle because its cant target bearer ?

Forgot which ward you were linking. No, if you can't target it, you don't have to.

Key words in the ability to remember: "If able". If the creature has pro-red it cannot ne targeted. Therefore your friend knows not how to play.

No, it would not work.. If he had an enchantment (or any other way/spell) that gave him the ability to grant protection as part of an effect he could, however, trigger it in response to your Helix and at that point the Helix would simply fizzle because the target would "no longer be legal".
