Island is maze's end. Now get all other cards in play as well as maze's end. Tap 3 lands and maze's end return it to hand and put a gate in play. Put m.e. back to play rinse and repeat. Now if you're playing a standard 60 card 5 color deck you have chance to get 20 gates add vesuva and you'd get more. Anyways this gives you enough life to live while taking damage from fastbond. As you can play a land or two before playing him.
