 Play Tibor and Lumia, then Basilisk Collar. DO NOT EQUIP! I learned that the hard way. Then play the Student which will activate Tibor and Lumia's power. Target the student , then equip Tibor and Lumia with the collar and play a Mountain.You kill every monster on your oppnent's side of the field and gain life at the same time.

Lands are not spells. They are also colorless.

So just use Lightning Bolt or Shock.

This is great and a nice use of a tibor and lumia, just out of curiousity why can't you equiped tibor and lumia with the collar until after they are flying

Good combo... 1 problem though... When you cast the student, it can't be targetted with Tibor's ability yet because it is only on the stack not in play... The actual wording/Oracle text of Tibor and Lumia is "

Whenever you cast a blue spell, target creature gains flying until end of turn.
Whenever you cast a red spell, Tibor and Lumia deals 1 damage to each creature without flying."

You need another blue spell to make this combo work...

To answer gericault's question, when you equip the collar and cast a red spell before your creature gets flying, your creatures will also be destroy by tibor because of death touch...

i realize that, but the way he wrote it with the capital do not equip, made me curious about what the hard way was, because he follows it with saying play the student,  wouldn't it made more sense to say you can equip it just don't play a red spell
