This was a combo created just to own the game and make a deck that threw everyone off. The real combo is only 3 cards: aphetto, illusionist's bracers, and the talisman. However with fireslinger, you can do infinite damage to the opponent and counter the life loss. But if nested ghoul is targeted with the grimace on it, you can make infinite creatures by sacking one of the 3 tokens produced to regenerate him with the extra mana by the altar. It's something unexpected, though. Not the greatest combo, but very fun to play with :)

It would be cool to see a deck made with that engine. You would need lots of rituals and lots of cantrips/tutors but I think it could work!

Why use fireslinger when you can stay on color with Prodigal Sorcerer? Razorfin Hunter has the same CMC and if you are dying to play blue AND red it isn't dealing damage to you.

As for creature tokens, Aphetto Alchemist(IBed), Gilded Lotus, Talrand, and Mystic Speculation(or Whim of Volrath) will keep you on Blue.

Because I don't know a lot of cards and I pulled a nicol bolas out of a booster one day lol
