Amazingly the hardest thing to get out (and equipped) are the bracers.

The ability to spam life loss, absolutely. The life gain...I'm not entirely positive if it is possible due to transformation relies on checking a state of being, thus I'm thinking it is like unmorphing a creature as far as responses (or lack thereof to be more percise) go, hence capping you when you get to the ten excess life from the starting amount (worded this way I assume for Vanguard).

Aside from countering/preventing the abilities from occuring,  think Platnium Emperion is the only to survive this combo's onslaught.

With the transformation, you'd only gain ten life, then it would flip and everyone else would die. That's all the combo is meant to do lol

The only other way to survive it is elderscale worm. Hate that thing lol.

Elderscale fails, as does Ali from Cairo and other Worship like cards. Reason being they prevent damage (which causes loss of life). They do NOT prevent loss of life (just something that causes it).

I learned this the hard way when I was playing a Worship deck in the days of Invasion. Stormscape Apprentice (the one with B,T:Target player loses 1 life) was often the reason I lost.
