In deed the bracers are a very nice combo piece and I'm sure we'll see more of combos posted here with this little jewel.
Equip the Bracers on a creature like Aphetto Alchemist. Copy the untap effect targeting Alchemist and Merieke. So in one turn you can get rid of most of the opponent's creatures. This has already been posted here http://www.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/ftl/228

Thanks for the post. I'm building my 1st EDH deck, but have played against a few already.
I keep getting hit by creatures that have the ability to make you sac one of your creatures each round. I'm puttind this in my deck along with Vesuvan Doppelganger, Clone and whatever else I run across.
