Notice that the staff automatically attaches to the Nighthawk because it's a Shaman (with Lifelink)!

Too bad it isn't Type 2 (Standard) Legal. 

You could also use Fire Whip, Hermetic Study, or Viridian Longbow. But the staff works better.

Add Quest for the Gravelord or Sadistic Glee or Vampiric Embrace or Blade of the Bloodchief for more fun!
