Cast Gigadrowse and tap as many creatures as possible, then for 3 mana draw a card for each one

Or you could tap those 3 manas you need for Theft of Dreams and then return 2 islands to play Ensnare for free, then maby play 1 of those lands if you didn't play any this round. :)

I can see why the planeswalker is not used (rarity and money)

I can agree that Ensnare+Theft would give a higher yield, but it is balanced out that you are tapping your creatures too.

This combo (if using the Exodus Theft of dreams) is a pauper's version of Stroke of Genius (Uzra's Saga) that has the added bonus of tapping creatures.
This is why I am impressed with this combo.
