Not 100% sure if this works but you play Illusions then Donate it to your opponent then Naturalize it. You gain 20 life, they lose 20 life.

It absolutely works. An entire deck was built with Donate + Illusions as the wincon. The idea was that eventually the opponent couldn't afford the cumulative mana, so the Naturalize wasn't needed. Plus if you just gained 20 life, odds are he couldn't kill you in time. The deck is known as "Trix."

lol, this is an ancient combo. If you do it with a card that says, when you gain life your opponent loses life you don't even have to Donate it or if they have some life bump you could still use both. It can get ugly real fast for being a blue combo.

This is not well done. For how old Donate+Illusions of Grandeur is, why on earth would you add green to it? Boomerang was printed before either of those two cards and is the only card, of the now three mentioned cards that has been reprinted.

If it has already been done better, don't repost it making it worse.

EDIT: I was mistaken. The Despotic Scepter version is apparently not in the database and the mention of bouncing is referring to lands. Still, there are so many ways to keep this one color, why would you add another one?
