1. Play Scrivener.

2. Play Conjurer's Closet.

3. Play Time Stop on opponent\'s turn.

4. Use the Closet to bounce Scrivener and return Time Stop to your hand.

5. Repeat process starting at #3.

Since this is a monoblue combo, it is very easy to pack counters for your typical problems. This combo also plays well with Black Vise.

It's convoluted, but I know there is a card that lets me grab cards from exile and throw them into my graveyard. The problem is that gatherer is not showing up with it. Does anyone remember what it is called? I thought it was a green card.

Riftsweeper is the green elf uncommon from futuresight. could use two closets with them i suppose. but he shuffles it back into the deck.

[insert some gay joke here about two men coming out of a closet and time stopping]

there is a white sorcery from Time Spiral called Pull from Eternity which puts it in your graveyard. and W/U is a slightly better combination for this type of shenanigans.

@neconomicon: Why does the Time Stop exile itself as the card? The ruling of the card is: 7/15/2007: Ending the turn this way means the following things happen in order: 1) All spells and abilities on the stack are exiled. This includes Time Stop, though it will continue to resolve.
From my understanding the spell (including the card) is removed, and during ongoing resolution the card goes to the graveyard (rule 608.2k).

111.1. A spell is a card on the stack. As the first step of being cast (see rule 601, “Casting Spells”), the card becomes a spell and is moved to the top of the stack from the zone it was in, which is usually its owner’s hand. (See rule 405, “Stack.”) A spell remains on the stack as a spell until it resolves (see rule 608, “Resolving Spells and Abilities”), is countered (see rule 701.5), or otherwise leaves the stack. For more information, see section 6, “Spells, Abilities, and Effects.”

608.2k As the final part of an instant or sorcery spell’s resolution, the spell is put into its owner’s graveyard. As the final part of an ability’s resolution, the ability is removed from the stack and ceases to exist.

Note: I read the complete card's text now including this "...Exile all spells and abilities on the stack, including this card. ) Obiously neco was correct and I too focussed on rulings...!-(

@knorf

i thought i was reading that right. thanks for the ruling anyway. some people forget the reminder text sometimes. hell, they state that in some un- card. was that no one reads the flavor texts? oh well~

Pull from Eternity, that was the card I was thinking of, though I'm not sure why I thought it was green. I guess blue/white is currently a color option with Azorious being back in standard.
