Bond the Priest to the Navigator and blink it, giving you BBB. Pay 1 life to convert one of those into U, so you have UBB. Blink the Priest again, using UB (or just U if you happen to have a Heartstone). You now have BBBB, or BBBBB with a Heartstone. Net effect is "Pay 1 life: Add BBB to your mana pool" and "B, Pay 1 life: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool".

Major problem is, overuse of this combo may result in spontaneous 0 life if no further safeguards are adopted.

Play with Demonic Horn or Kraken's Eye and that won't be an issue. Just kidding, you aren't casting spells, just bouncing creatures.
There has to be some equivalent to Soul Warden that is black or an artifact, right?

What is an issue is that Heartstone does not decrease mana costs any lower than 1. That means not reducing a cost to be 0. Sorry!

I couldn't find any black or artifact Soul Warden on Gatherer. My basic idea for defense is various forms of life drain through black, with blue control, although there's no reason you couldn't add white.

As for Heartstone, it's reducing the blink cost from 1U to U. Good point, though.

Use Peregrine Drake as fellow for the Deadeye, depending on the lands you untap you have mana of colour you need for high drain life or similar.
