Use the forest and whatever mana you get from the braid, pump up that wolf run into a creature during your untap step. By your upkeep enjoy a victory.

This does not work as you suggested with the bump up in untap step. You cannot give the Kessig +x/+0 bonus to a creature at a time which is in effect at the beginning of the upkeep trigger. The reason can be found in the excerpt of the rulings (see below).

Your combo works e. g. under the following preconditions: You have a creature in play at the beginning of the upkeep with power 5 or greater. This will put the triggered aria ability on the stack. Then, when you have priority, put the +x/+0 kessig ability on the stack. On resolution of the stack in last in first out order, your creature gets the kessig power bonus, then on resolution of aria's ability the game checks in sequential order whether the conditions of the three abilities are met. If you have 6 life and your creature is a serra avatar and you kessig him +3/+0, what happens is the following: the 9/6 avatar gets the +1/+1 counter, then you get 10life. This makes your avatar 16/16 + +1/+1 counter + +3/+0 kessig bonus -> you have a 20/17 avatar and win since the third precondition is met.

clean-up
514.2. Second, the following actions happen simultaneously: all damage marked on permanents (including phased-out permanents) is removed and all “until end of turn” and “this turn” effects end. This turn-based action doesn’t use the stack.
514.3. Normally, no player receives priority during the cleanup step, so no spells can be cast and no abilities can be activated.

Untap
502.3. No player receives priority during the untap step, so no spells can be cast or resolve and no abilities can be activated or resolve. Any ability that triggers during this step will be held until the next time a player would receive priority, which is usually during the upkeep step. (See rule 503, “Upkeep Step.”)

Upkeep
503.1. First, any abilities that trigger at the beginning of the upkeep step and any abilities that triggered during the turn’s untap step go on the stack. (See rule 603, “Handling Triggered Abilities.”)
503.2. Second, the active player gets priority. Players may cast spells and activate abilities.

Just use a Soul's Might, fixes everything.
Or better yet, a panoptic mirror with a soul's might.
