Just name a card you dont have in your deck, like, pfft, imagine something, like progenitus :P

of course, you could make it mono black by using Mortal combat, however 20 creatures would take way too much place in your deck and by addding blue you gain acces to sweet, sweet card drawing :)

This technically works, however, as the spell finally resolves (meaning your library is now empty) you still must have a way to force yourself to draw a card. 

Gonna need a third card in the combo to draw a card, or a permanent in play which allows you to draw a card after resolution.

Good stuff though.

You could just name hydrosurge since, if you are playing with it, you would normally lose anyway :P

I would name Regal Unicorn, and then forget that I was running a playset of Regal Unicorns. Dang!

BTW, just brainstorm after doing this. If you have blue in your deck, and you're playing legacy, and you're playing combo, you should have brainstorms handy anyway. If not, you need medication.

you would still need to draw a card. so just play something like.... thought scour. you mill two then you draw a card.:)

Brainstorm would allow you to Maniac win because the card says to "draw 3 cards and put 2 cards from your hand on top of your library".  If there are no cards left in your library you'll win at instant speed.

Chromatic Sphere allows for faster than instant speed draw.  Mana abilities (and all their effects) happen immediately.  Wizards' ruling:
This is a mana ability, which means it can be activated as part of the
process of casting a spell or activating another ability. If that
happens you get the mana right away, but you don't get to look at the
drawn card until you have finished casting that spell or activating that
ability.
