I know this is just synergy but this is extremely powerful synergy. I do this in my EDH deck. Unless your opponent deals with this quickly you'll have an answer to any big creature they throw down.
I love Claws of Valakut. It's such a great card.

I mean, if you take out their big creatures if those creatures have power 4 or greater you'll lose the Gladiator and Claws.

What you do in that situation, is, you attack, have the cyclopse deal it's damage to a weaker creature, then fling the cyclopse. Fun fun.

The idea is to burn off little creatures in the early game and when they when they have a big creature in the late game you can kamikaze it.
