This fun little combo takes advantage of Mikaeus in new and interesting ways.  With Mikaeus and Flayer out, cast the second Mikaeus.  When he hits the game will check and see there are two legends out so kill them both.  Because you had both out they gave each other +1/+1 and Undying so will both be a 6/6 Undying.  Undying brings the first one back as a 5/5 with a +1/+1 counter, and triggers the Flayer to deal 6 damage.  The second one will then come back as a 6/6 with a +1/+1 counter (got the bonus from the first that's still out) and trigger the Flayer again.  Before the flayer's ability resolves they will both go to the graveyard again, this time to stay.  The Flayer's ability now resolves and can't find the creature that entered the battlefield so will use the LKI (Last Known Information) which had the Mikaeus as a 7/7 (5/5+(+1/+1 bonus from first mikaeus)+(+1/+1 counter)=7/7).

It's a net of 13 direct damage and should you have already gotten in for some damage or had a Flayer die at some point you should be well on your way to killing them.

dont forget the legend rule... if someone could find the legend rules text for this situation, it would be great

are there any legends with persist that could be coupled with Melira that we could reuse this effect?

This combo only works Because of the Legend rule :)

205.4d Any permanent with the supertype "legendary" is subject to the state-based action for legendary permanents, also called the "legend rule" (see rule 704.5k).

704.5k If two or more legendary permanents with the same name are on the battlefield, all are put into their owners' graveyards. This is called the "legend rule." If only one of those permanents is legendary, this rule doesn't apply.

Unfortunatelly, they don't enter play at different times from the graveyard. They enter at the same time. The game state will check the legend rule, and both will be immediatelly put back into the graveyard. Here's how it would look on the stack coming from the graveyard

Undying Effect Triggered - Mikaeus, The Unhallowed

Mikaeus, The Unhallowed x2 returning to battlefield w/ +1/+1 counter, Game state check - Legend Rule

Both Mikaeus will be returned to the graveyard before anything else can happen. Looks good on paper though.

Since we have to remember the order of things happening on the stack, the legend rule will blow them both back up as they try to return to the battlefield.

They do enter play at differant times. 

Undying is a trigger ability.  Since both Mikaeus have it, both triggers go off when they die.  Since you have two seperate triggers you choose the order they go on the stack.  Items on the stack then resolve top to bottom seperately.  The top one will resolve bringing back the assocated Mikaeus, flayer will then trigger and go to the top of the stack, it will resolve and then the other Mikaeus's undying trigger will resolve bringing it back. Since the 2nd mikaeus enter the battlefield, Flayer will then trigger but not go on the stack yet, SBE's will be checked legend will kill both, flayers trigger will then go on the stack and resolve.
