As the name implies.

Island is Mind Unbound (cause it isn\'t in the database).

Same thing as my red combo. I want input as to whether this is good or bad.

Personally, I think this has a few problems. Just being objective here, nothing personal.

You're going to slow both sides with Arcane Laboratory for one thing. Slow isn't necessarily a good thing unless you're in EDH or casual games. Remember when the time comes to cast Mind Unbound, which is too late in the game IMO for 6 mana, that would be your single spell for the turn, and it may be countered.

2nd..... Words of Wind is going to get somewhat expensive in conjunction with Mind Unbound, and you're going to be bouncing your permanents as well as theirs. Then neither side will have board advantage, putting the game into a sort of draw-state. At some point you have to give yourself the advantage or the combo is a mute point.

Overall, it can be built around, but I personally see it being too slow and too much of a headache to work with, especially in competitive play.

Yeah I didn't see each player in Words of Wind.

Just wanted to explain one more thing about the board advantage thing....I pulled up my old Rule of Law deck on my computer.

In that deck I played it U/W and used Rule of Law rather than the Laboratory. The trick to these decks is being able to put permanents into play without having to cast them. I used Aether Vial and Deathrender to do this, so that I could save my one spell per turn for counterspells.

I used Voidmage Prodigy, Venser Shaper Savant, and Familiar's Ruse to counter my opponents' one spell per turn. Then Stoneybrook Schoolmaster fueled my Voidmage Prodigy's need for wizards.  Then my card draw was handled by Sky Hussar's forecast and Azami, Lady of Scrolls.

All these things gave me board and card advantage without having to cast much of it. But again, it was still too slow for competitive play. I only played it casually until I decided to tear it down......and my friends didn't like the Aether Vials very much.

But now we have Curse of Exhaustion, so..... now I have a newer version of a similar deck using the Curse of Exhaustion with Grand Arbiter which works a lot faster and gives total advantage to you.
