Channel, and pay all your life but one, then play, Platinum Angel, then play Deaths Shadow, then pay another life to channel, bringing you down to 0 then cast fireball targeting yourself for 13, Death's Shadow should become a 26/26 :)

Or you can just pay unlimited life and make Deathshadow an Infinity/Infinity.

  • The amount of life converted into mana is not a decision
as part of the casting of Channel. [WotC Rules Team 1994/02/01]
    You
first cast Channel then you can convert life to mana for the rest of
the turn. You do not convert it during casting.

  • You cannot pay life points you don't have. In
other words, you cannot Channel yourself below zero life.
    [D'Angelo
    1995/08/10]

  • The ability is played as a mana ability. [Barclay
    1999/12/01]

  • Vintage tournaments (see Rule
    911
) have restricted this card since 2000/10/01. It was previously
banned from 1995/11/01 until 2000/10/01 and it was restricted from
    1994/03/23 to 1995/11/01.

  • Legacy tournaments (see Rule
    912
) have always banned this card.

  • Extended tournaments (see Rule
    913
) have always banned this card.

  • Standard (Type 2) tournaments (see Rule
    914
) have banned this card since 1995/11/01. It was previously
    restricted until 1995/11/01.

also, it doesnt get +1/+1 for each point below zero your life is at.  it can only get negative counters for each positive point of life you have. so just channel for 7, cast your angel, then cast this big boy. youll be set up for 17 damage in no time, and if they want to win, they will have to deal with the angel first, THEN the other one.

nice combo, just add a way to trample so its not chumped and your set and yes death shadow does get +1/+1 for each negative point that you have, so it would be 26/26

Why not just use the fireball on your opponent to begin with?

IT DOESNT GET +1/+1 FOR EACH NEGATIVE POINT OF YOUR LIFE TOTAL (he said for the second time.)

you can say it as many times as you want doesn't mean your right.  straight from the gatherer:

If your life total is less than 0 and an effect (such as the one from an opponent's Abyssal Persecutor) is keeping you from losing the game, Death's Shadow's ability will actually increase its power and toughness. For example, if your life total is -2, Death's Shadow gets +2/+2.

then i stand corrected, and its still retarded lol.  i remember when  your life total would revert to 0 at the end of each phase when you were below 0.  so if THAT has changed, then yes, im wrong.  and if it hasnt, then its about half right (since it wont be very practical)

actually that was never a rule.  but was spread by a large amount of players

before, you wouldn't lose until the end of the phase, but you could go as far into the negitives as you wanted
