This isn't a great combo either but Taunting Elf attack with Phage is too easy. Now this one requires Footsteps and Donate in the same turn. Similar to previous, donate control of Footsteps. Technically the Legend rule applies but before she would be sac'd she ETBs and not from an opponents hand and they would lose, neither one would see each other because the opponent would be dead BEFORE the Phages would meet. I have spoken with a judge about this one, as dumb as it is, it works.

While your opponent will still lose both phages do die before they lose.
For the lose the game ability to trigger the phage token needs to be on the battlefield, which means they see each other. So what happens is the token enters the field which triggers the ability, before priority is received SBE's are checked killing both phages. ability then goes on the stack, resolves, and your opponent dies.

10/1/2005 Any enters-the-battlefield abilities of the copied creature trigger when the creature tokens enter the battlefield. The creature tokens also have any "this enters the battlefield with" or "as this enters the battlefield" abilities that the copied creature has.

Straight from Gatherer. So therefore I am right sir. I should have posted this with the combo, but alas I did not.

Yes you are right in the fact that the token has the same ETB as Phage, but if you read what i wrote you will see I did note the ability triggers and resolves and your opponent loses.  That was never in question.

The statement that you made that the Phage's would not see each other before the opponent is dead, is what is incorrect.  SBE's are checked before triggers go on the stack. (Rule 704)The phage's die before the opponent.

In a 1v1 game this wouldn't matter to much since the game would be over,  however, in a multi-player this does have an impact, if it followed the order you stated when your opponent loses, they will remove everything they own from the game as part of the losing abilities resolution, this would include the Phage token.  State Based Effects will be checked afterwards, see only  1 Phage on the field and yours would not get sacced.

Okay, yeah I did missread your original reply. I'm so used to hear that it doesn't work I get a tad defensive. Yes in Multi it would matter but overall saying they don't see each other is more for people who say it doesn't work for them to see it does.
