Nice one. Even if you don't have Rooftop Storm out, you can pay a Black to gain 1 life, make the opponent lose 1 life, and put a +1/+1 counter on Grimgrin.
Try replacing Rooftop Storm and Grimgrin with Phyrexian Altar.

yeah you could easily make the the focus of a mono black deck. use artifacts and other cards to make this quicker.

The Altar is nice, but remember you need to keep another Zombie on the field in order to be able to cast the Gravecrawler. Obviously there are others you can use, just putting it out there that you'll need that other card to make that adaptation fully functional.
