This is the concept for the EDH deck I'm building. My general will be Augustine, a thoroughly annoying general to play against. But what's more annoying than one of him? Many of him! My deck will contain some basic tutor effects, Thalia, Trinisphere, and a bunch of Clone effects. Until I get the Mirror Gallery out I can clone the biggest threats. Once I have the Gallery, I will make their spells cost at Least 1 more each turn by cloning my creatures.

That's an awesome (if evil!) combo.
May I suggest that you use a Followed Foosteps? Not even getting rid of Clone so that you can use that to copy threats. But with a Followed Footsteps you're guaranteed at least one Augustin per upkeep, for free. :)

a disenchant would destroy your general and the clones and it can get really expensive to play generals really quickly when everyone has a continuous effect they hate from your general being out.
do you have a certain strategy to deal with that?

I should have several diffent options with this. I can clone their biggest threat, I can kill their general/legends, or I can set up the combo. With a Mirror Gallery and two Augustine out a Naturalize will cost 3G.
Also, playing with blue I have access to counter magic. With two Augustin and a Mirror Gallery a Rewind will only cost UU and still untap 4 lands.
I'm also thinking of putting in an Omniscience just to make things get even more disgusting as it will also get cheaper with a few Augustin. Cryptic Command+Omniscience+Tamiyo Emblem=No more spells played against me :).
