This creature is awesome, so i tried to find something that allows you to cast it with-out having the counters placed on him, Illusionary mask. It's pretty Sick

Just remember, you still need to pay for the creature with the mana you put into the mask:

  • 10/1/2009: If you use the ability to cast a creature card face down, you must keep track of the amount and types of mana you spent on {X}. If that creature spell is moved from the stack to anywhere other than the battlefield, the resulting creature leaves the battlefield, or the game ends, the face-down card is revealed. If its mana cost couldn't be paid by some amount of, or all of, the mana you spent on {X}, all applicable penalties for casting a card illegally are assessed.
  • 10/1/2009: Both the amount and types of mana you spend on {X} are taken into account while you're choosing a creature card from your hand. For example, if you spent {U}{U} on {X}, you can choose a creature card with mana cost {U}{U}, {1}{U}, {2}, or {W/U}{W/U}, among other possibilities, but not one that costs {2}{U} or one that costs {G}.

You should probably stick with trickbind because most judges will defenestrate you and all your decks, just for owning illusionary mask.

What counters? It's a minus that changes depending on the opponent's hand.

yes, there are no counters but that doesn't change the concept.

I personally find that Mask is better than Trickbind etc in away, because it lands as a face down creature, except when you go to attack.. So your opponents don't know what it is.

I think what was being referred to was the thought that the creature still got the -x/-x.  The creature has what are called 'Linked Abilities'.  The first one is an effect that modifies how the creature enters the battlefield.  Upon changing zones you decide which opponent to track, the card will refer to that opponent for as long as it's on the battlefield.  If you get the creature into play face down it will not have either ability so will not require you to select an opponent when it enters.  Because of this when the creature is turned upright it will not have a selected opponent to get -X/-X from even it you're only playing against one person, the creature will be a 7/7.
