Plains is Avacyn Angel of Hope.

Damnation is Day of Judgement (cause for some reason it's not in the system).

You see something wrong with this situation? I do.

I see someone with an 8/8 flying vigilance Angel and all indestructible permanents that lost.

Are you trolling? Their creatures will die, yours will survive. This is useful for when your opponent has field advantage at the time you drop Avacyn.

The fact is that you dropped Acacyn in the first place. Kind of like making a combo after popping a Planeswalker ultimate.

Yeah but even with Avacyn out if your opponent has creature advantage you can still lose (which I'm sure some aggro decks are capable of).

Or if you have less life than them.

my edh deck can be a real pain for avacyn decks... it has this habit of removing (lots of) stuff from the game.. and making everything unblockable and land kill

not to mention that if you got avacyn angel of hope out and hint at mass destruction... someone is going to bounce avacyn.. i know i would... then destroy all plains and non-basic lands... or simply remove all permanents from the game (apocalypse anyone?) there are a planty of cards in my decks that can get rid of avacyn, angel of hope for good... or at least make her useless

You're right you didn't do too bad. You did terrible. This is like the one combo up here that is Underworld Dreams and Howling Mine. Not really a combo, more like a useful effect. It is like saying anything that makes someone discard and Lliana's Caress. Now if you wanted to be cute you wouldn't even need Avacyn, just use Darksteel Forge, turn you creatures into artifacts and any other kill all creatures spell. This isn't really a combo. Not trying to sound harsh or degrading. It would be like me saying "Cast a bunch of creatures with Suspend and then the turn before they come in play, cast Worldfire." Sorry if I have crushed your dreams.

He may not have gone with the most original thing...but seeing that damnation next to Avacyn has me thinking of a deck involving the following...

Unburial Rites

Avacyn

Damnation

Faithless Looting

Using Unburial Rites and Faithless looting to get Avacyn into play quicker to fire off the damnation would make for a soul-crushing experience for anybody. Especially with the removal packages available in Modern...but Reanimator has been done to death...

But as far as being a combo...well it is a combo (Combo being short for combination)...just not anything spectacular...as far as original combos...meh...they come along...but are rare...
