If you had the ascension ready, would reverberate give you an infinite spell count for storm or would this not work? If you copied reverberate itself and then casted grapeshot would that combo work?

this wouldn't work. anything that says copy that spell just copies the spell so the spell  isn't being played so it won't trigger the ascension.

Yup, doesn't work. The Pyromancer Ascension states the spell must be "cast" for the trigger to take effect.
