I've been working on my re-animator deck recently and realized this combo. There are so many uses for Victimize.....one of my favorite cards.

Use Buried Alive to drop the Hypnotist and Child into your graveyard, or whatever means you wish, and Victimize a critter to put them into play.

Sac Child of Alara to the Hypnotist, and in response, sac the Hypnotist to itself.
Opponent discards 4 cards and all nonland permanents fall down, go Boom.

Then memnite and another victimize. You keep the child and the sadistic guy.

would't it be more fun to have the child in play, play victimize, choose two big creatures in your graveyard, on resolution of victimize sacrifice the child which triggers the destruction of anything except lands, then you put the two choose creatures into play which gives you a big advantage.

Combine with Phyrexian Delver or similar

Absolutely, you could.

But the way I'm running it, I'm using three different 2-creature combos which I Buried Alive with Bloodghast. On my next turn, Bloodghast returns to play on landfall, which I use to Victimize for the other two.

This pretty much empties my opponent's hand and clears the board of all creatures, artifacts, and enchantments, which is hard to do in mono-black. I had to use Oblivion Stone before I figured this out, which doesn't have the discard function.

I use Sadistic Hypnotist + Child of Alara for discard and board clearing.
I use Avacyn, Angel of Hope + Empyrial Archangel if I get in trouble and need damage protection.
Then I use Iona, Shield of Emeria + Painter's Servant for win condition.

My first build used 3-creature combos with Living Death which were game-winners if they hit the board....

Laquatus' Champion x 2 + Magister Sphinx
Yosei, the Morning Star x 2 + Reya Dawnbringer

But the 2-creature combos with Victimize work out better and faster in gameplay. And it's a nice change from the Living Death set-up.
