Have Altar out

Play Thopter Assmebly

Assuming you have no other thopters, Thopter Assembly will return to your hand, giving you 5 1.1 thopters.

Sac all the thopters with the alter for 10 mana.

Use 6 of it to play the thopter assembly. Rinse and repeat.

i really don't see how this is infinite. This should be named 2 cards for 4 bonus colorless mana a turn.

When you play the thopter assembly again, it'll get returned to your hand again, and you'll get 5 more 1/1's. Then you sacrifice those for 10 more mana. Then you play thopter assembly again, it gets returned to your hand, then you sac 5 more tokens for ten more mana. Get it??

It only returns and the beginning of your upkeep. How do you stop mana from emptying out of your pool at the end of the phases? The beginning of the upkeep trigger only happens once a turn and once you miss the trigger you have to wait till the next turn to reuse it even if you did include a way to put the thopter assmembly into play during your upkeep(which you did not). If you have more than one thopter assembly in play when that trigger rolls around it won't return to your hand so you wont have a bunch of thopters to sac. This isn't infinite, it gives you 10 bonus mana a turn, 6 of which you use to cast thopter assembly to get the bonus next turn. For a grand total of 4 bonus mana a turn.

no because, there is only 1 "at the beginning of your upkeep trigger" so even if you redrop it durring your upkeep it wont retrigger because now your "durring your upkeep" instead of at the "beginning". The only thing that would help is that blue enchantment that lets you take multiple upkeeps per turn, but that still would not be infinite and unless you found a way to store the mana it would still drain out of your pool when ended your first upkeep to start your second.

If you had upwelling and 4 doubling and parallel lives then you have a lot of mana but no infinite.

Mana Vault is an upkeep trigger as well so it doesn't work you would have to use Grim Monolith or Basalt Monolith
