Enchant the Elemental with Nature's Chosen, set Shifting Sky to White, and you're good to go. Untap islands to keep activating the Elemental's ability on itself, and you've got infinite mana of any color you could make with your lands.

What other creature is the Elemental gaining the ability of?  It says it gets all the activated abilities of "target creature" and so can't target the enchantment.  The enchantment doesn't give either ability to the enchanted creature but retains it itself, see the oracle wording on it below.  Not even Opalescence can get around this because the enchantment is an aura.

Enchant creature you control

0: Untap enchanted creature. Activate this ability only during your turn and only once each turn.

Tap enchanted creature: Untap target artifact, creature, or land. Activate this ability only if enchanted creature is white and is untapped and only once each turn.

For anyone who doesn't see what I'm doing, I'll explain. I probably should've explained it better when I put it up.

Quicksilver Elemental is enchanted with Nature's Chosen. Because Shifting Sky makes it white, Quicksilver Elemental gets the abilities "0:Untap enchanted creature. Activate this ability only during your turn and only once each turn." and "Tap enchanted creature: Untap target artifact, creature, or land. Activate this ability only during your turn and only once each turn."

Tap an Island, netting you U. Untap the land with Quicksilver's second ability, then untap the Quicksilver using it's first ability. Now those are used up, you can't activate them again. And we won't. Cause there's no rule against copying them.

You'll use the U to activate Quicksilver's natural ability, targeting itself. The rulings on Quicksilver Elemental read "If you make two copies of an ability that can be activated once a turn, you can activate each of them once a turn." That's what we're doing here. Now the Quicksilver has two copies of the Nature's Chosen abilities, one set thats used up, and one that hasn't been used.

So now we've started over, but haven't netted anything. But as we continue to repeat this process, the abilities stack up exponentially. Just because the abilities have been used, doesn't mean they cease to exist. Next time we copy the abilities we get 4 copies, then 8 copies, then 16 copies, then 32 copies. Eventually, we get infinite abilities, which means that Quicksilver can start actually using them to untap any lands you have to fill up your mana pool, THUS giving you infinite mana of any color you create.

neither of those abilities are passed onto the creature they are the abilities of natures chosen so I don't think you could copy them

Atogatog, you may very well be right. I'm trying to find a distinction between the aura cards that say enchanted creature has "ability", and those that just seem to possess an ability of their own. It may be something that exists just because the card is old. I just looked up the cards and other people have apparently noticed an interaction between Quicksilver Elemental and Nature's Chosen as well on some other sites, so I might guess then that it would work? But you propose a very good point.

Captain

Atog is right.  The rule in question is 112.1

An ability is a characteristic an object has that lets it affect the game. An object’s abilities are defined by its rules text or by the effect that created it. Abilities can also be granted to objects by rules or effects. (Effects that do so use the words “has,” “have,” “gains,” or “gain.”)

Since nature's chosen lacks one of those 4 words quicksilver doesn't gain the abilities
