Well apparently I'm not an idiot because I can't figure out exactly how you'd go about pulling this off with just these two cards.

I assume that you are trying to wipe the board but save all of your stuff first, for that you'd need the dragon to enter the play in response (at instant speed) but one needs sneak attack or teferi or the like to pull that off.

Are you hard casting all of this?

Well that still doesn't work because you remove your lands...... next turn you won't have mana to play obliterate.

But i see what he's doing..... just play dragon then obliterate after exile then get all your pernaments back and your opponent has nothing.

To pull this off effectively, you'd either really have to have an infinite mana source or be running Jhoira of the Ghitu.

you could run mana flares and stuff like that... like red is hard to get 15 mana... (not really)
