have all out on the battlefield, rancor enchanting the hellkite. attack and pay seven for hellkite first. when it hits, it adds 7 green mana. convert two of it to red using the elf. then repeat.

You're worried about preventions? Not many people really play that many preventions, the real concern that you should have is blockers, people will most likely block in the air to stop it from working. If you want to make it infinite, then you should toss in Bower's Passage from Avacyn Restored, as long as I'm thinking of the right card and it does what I thought.
