Cast angelic renewal as soon as you can...
Cast the cloud thresher for 2 damage to creatures with flying and then bring it back to play by sacrificing the angelic renewal for another 2. Could be a really fast way to slow down a white weenie that had some early fliers...

and you also get a 7/7 on the field for 2GG essentially.
