Have Spikeshot Elder out.  Equip with Adventuring Gear.  Play Wooded Foothills and search for either Forest or Mountain (probably mountain, that's 2 lands in play this turn).  Now do 5 damage with Spikeshot's ability.

This is easily pulled off with Evolving Wilds or Terramorphic Expanse nearly every turn.  Ontop of this you could use Skyshroud Claim for an additional 2 lands and +4/+4 to the spikeshot.

Why don't I just enchant it with something that says it has power equal to the number of mountains in play?

Then I would only have to pay 1RR to deal out massive damage.

You may have read some of the things ive been telling narcy! They apply here!

Pump+spikeshot elder isnt much of a combo! Sure, it works, but theres not a lot going on there!

Besides that it would be a lot more effective to just use permanent pump like vulshok morningstar or pump that actually does something, like loxodon warhammer or sword of kaldra!

There are better pump-spells and ones that also give lifelink.

lot of damage quick = lotus petal, lotus petal, channel, emrakul, swamp, dark ritual

(15 dmg turn 1, then 15 dmg on your free turn) 30 damage before they get a turn, then a huge creature that they have to deal with turn 1 if they live and it has anihilator 6 if they get a bunch of stuff out first turn too

You want some crazy landfall? Flash Primeval Titan onto the battlefield, fetch two Flagstones of Trokair, fetch two plains, then sac one of them to Knight of the Reliquary to get a fetchland or Terramorphic Expanse / Evolving Wilds.
