i actually would have this combo in my U/G/W deck if i had a doubling season, or a followed footsteps

so have sigil captain and doubling season out, then drop kazandu to give him 6 +1/+1 counters, then JTR to give him 8 more counters, making him 15/15. Then use rite of replication on kazandu and kick it to make 10 1/1 kazandu copies, which all become 24/24, and your original kazandu becomes 35/35. followed footsteps isnt exactly necessary, just pumps them all up some more

or veen bettter, put JTR out afte Rite of replication, making the ten copies of kazandu 32/32

No it would not. Loyalty is a cost, and Doubling Seasons text says "effect". You could just use Diagra Hiabolist with Rite of Replication for instant win. Black/blue insta-kill.
