you could just use kismet, not effect yourself and cut it to one card. of coarse, it wouldn't be green though......

Well, I think you'll need to explain this a little more here, Mechanist. What if your opponent played a Bird creature or a Horror creature? Why would they come in tapped? The only improvement upon Root MAze is that now in addition to lands and artifacts coming tapped, Saprolings will also come into play tapped. Am I missing something here?
