Swamp is Gravecrawler.

Change the Basal Sliver to "Zombie". Now you can sac the Gravecrawler for BB, then recast him for B. Goes into a Drain Life or Exsaguinate.

This won't work. Gravecrawler will lose it's type change when he hits the graveyard and  won't get it back when he comes into play.

That would be true, IF you were targeting Gravecrawler to turn him into a Sliver. But you're not. You're targeting the Sliver, and changing each instance of "Sliver" into "Zombie". So it does work actually.

Instead of Gravecrawler, you could also use Hazengul Lich and any 0-cost creature, like Ornithopter or Memnite. Hazengul Lich also works with Krark-Clan Ironworks.

Gravecrawler also works with Ashnod's Altar and Bog's Initiate for infinite black mana, as long as you have another zombie.

it Almost works.  The Sliver's "Text" gets changed, not it's type.  The gamerules define the text as the rules text in the textbox on the bottom half of the card, not just any text on the card.  If that were the case, Sliver Queen would get changed to zombie Queen by Artificial Evolution.  If you have another zombie out, you're golden, though :).

You don't need another Zombie actually. Check out the ruling on Aritifical Evolution:

Alters all occurrences of the chosen word in the text box and the type line of the given card

So the Basal Sliver retains its name, I'm not trying to change its name. However, it does become a Zombie creature.

Conspiracy would keep it mono-colored. I think.

Well the problem with Conspiracy is if its named to Sliver, you wouldn't be able to fulfill Gravecrawlers requirement of needing a Zombie in play. Conspiracy names all creatures a type, and they are only that, its not in addition to their other types. If its named to Zombie, it wouldn't work still because it doesn't affect text. If you really want to keep this mono-block, add in Hivestone and another Zombie.

Hivestone instead of Artificial Evolution and then add in another Gravecrawler.
