The main combo here is words of wind and azorius aethermage.  They work fine by themselves.  Here is one example of how to utilize them but I think i can do better.  What would be a simpler way to take advantage of this combo?

So...   You go to draw a card but instead you pay 1 using words of wind and each player bounces a permanent.  you bounce ornithopter. 

This triggers the aethermage.  You pay 1 and mage's ability is on the stack.  In response you pay 1 for WOW.  In response to that you play ornithopter with flash. 

You let the stack start to resolve.  Ornithopter comes into play. Between tangleroot and springleaf drum you generate two mana which is enough to repeat the process.

 After the ornithopter, WOW's effect resolves.  Lastly mage's ability resolves and instead of drawing, everybody bounces.  You bounce ornithopter.  This triggers the aethermage again and you repeat the process.

The result:  Your opponents have zero permanents and you can repeat the process every turn.

What do yall think?  is there a better way to pull something like this off with WOW and aethermage?

It's very good, but you would need a way to untap Springleaf Drum. Or, just switch it out for another Tangleroot.

oh yeah, duh...  So, lets switch out the drum for another tangleroot.  Even without one or both roots you could do this combo a few times a turn and eventually get your opponents down to no permanents or at least slow them down.
