What are you changing the target of? Phyrexian Obliterator's effect is an ability, not a spell.

Oh wait, sorry it took me while to get this, I think he's using those redirect spells to make your opponents spells target the Obliterator. Unfortunately, it's assuming that your opponents are playing spells that cause noncombat damage, which isn't too safe of an assumption for formats where these cards are all legal. I think you're better off using something like Arena?? Or Prey Upon??

I misread Phyrexian Obliterator as "you sacrifice that many permanents". Damn, that card's powerful!

When you are fighting against the Big Red Machine..well what do you expect...X RED DAMAGERS.. now... what happens when the damage directed to you is Directed to your Obliterator? i just place swerve cuz it's another option..

Or some other options would be to run the Obliterator with en-kor creatures that redirect damage. I run a B/W deck like that and Shaman en-kor is awesome with him.

@acolyte
Then maybe you should post ALL PARTS of your combo instead of just assuming everyone knows what the hell your talking about. Judging by the responses, i wasn't the only one. Also, if you reread MY POST, i never said it didn't work, i ASKED what you were trying to serve because i thought it was something like that and wanted to be sure!!!!!!!

This is why you post all cards involved and explain yourself clearly. Don't get mad at myself or the other posters when you don't and we ask questions. That's just rude.

it's Peoples prerogative if they misconstrue the difference between a constructive and destructive comment and what they could learn from it, commenting technically however then being answered in a way that youre persuaded to read and learn though you migh take it indifferently is not my problem, i post to help eager players not to resolve whatever issues you may have to misdirect anger, well if you take me as being rude or being informative, it's up to you, atleast you'll never forget such post...

READ....RESEARCH....THINK....LEARN!!!
