Note that Triskelion and Tetravus are alternatives, you don't need both.

My next Persist based infinite combo. While it shares two cards and some ideas from the mono white infinite token combo I posted before, this combo is very different. For 1, it's 100% artifacts, which totally changes it's playability. And 2, the Triskelion version does direct damage.

First off, I should point out that Ashnod's Altar + Antler Skulkin + Painter's Servant enables a very large number of infinite persist possibilities--all you need is a creature that comes into play with at least 1 +1/+1 counter. The question is, "What are you going to do with it?" Triskelion seems to offer the most direct route to victory, by offering direct damage. Alternatively, Tetravus would allow infinite tokens and offers a mana advantage; also, compared to the mono white version, the tokens have flying and the combo doesn't require any white mana. Here's how the Triskelion version plays:

1) Have Ashnod's Altar and Antler Skulkin in play.
2) Play Painter's Servant and choose White.
3) Play Triskelion. It gains 3 +1/+1 counters.
4) You need access to {2}.
5) Remove all +1/+1 counters and do damage to your opponent equal to the number of counters you removed.
6) Spend {2} with Antler Skulkin to give it persist.
7) Sacrifice Triskelion to Ashnod's Alter for {2}.
8) Triskelion is returned to play with 3 +1/+1 counters and 1 -1/-1 counter. You're left with 2 +1/+1 counters.
9) You still have {2} in your pool from step 6; go to Step 5 until you win.

With Tetravus, you can go a little bit faster--you can pull off the first 3 tokens for {6} to cast Antler Skulkin, potentially saving you a turn:

1) Have Ashnod's Altar in play.
2) Play Painter's Servant. Call White.
3) Play Tetravus.
4) Have access to {1}.
5) Remove 3 +1/+1 counters on Tetravus for 3 1/1 flying tokens.
6) Sacrifice 3 tokens for {6}. With the {1} you already had, you have {7}.
7) Use {5} to play Antler Skulkin.
8) Use {2} remaining to activate Antler Skulkin, giving Tetravus persist.
9) Sacrifice Tetravus to Ashnod's Altar, putting {2} in your mana pool.
10) Tetravus comes back with 3 +1/+1 counters and 1 -1/-1 counter, leaving you with 2 +1/+1 counters.
11) Pull off the 2 +1/+1 counters to make 2 1/1 flying tokens.
12) You still have {2} left over from step 9, return to step 8 and repeat until you have as many tokens as you want.

The mana advantage shows in how fast you could hypothetically pull it off. With a Mana Vault and a full set of Urza's Lands, you could do the Tetravus version on your 3rd turn:

1) Urza's Power Plant, tap, play Mana Vault, tap, play Ashnod's Altar.
2) Urza's Mine, tap both, play Painter's Servant, call white.
3) Urza's Tower, tap all 3 for {7}. Play Tetravus for {6}, exchange counters for tokens, sacrifice 3 1/1 tokens for {6}. Play Antler Skulkin for {5}, spend {2} to give Tetravus persist, and go infinite tokens.

That's 8 cards; if your other 2 cards were Ornithopters, then you could pull it off even if you didn't pull a complete set of Urza's lands.

Hello!

I just wanted to point out that I edited your combo to include Painter's Servant, which was originally missing from the database (as you had pointed out).

Ok, thanks. Guess you must be an admin. Is there any way for me to edit my own combos? I've noticed a couple typos in some of them.

Yes, this feature will be added soon. I will make announcements each time a new feature has been added.

wouldn't the -1/-1 counter stay on it and stop the persist?
