Not sure if this works but if it does it would be awesome.  If it does not work, I would love to learn why not.

Target swans with chain of plasma.  Draw three cards.  Discard a card to copy chains of plasma.  Rinse/repeat.

Result draw as many cards as you like.  Draw into a finisher like conflagrate which you could discard then use to discard your hand.  Also having simian spirit guides in your deck could help you cast your finisher.

I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work, that combo is pretty crazy. Too bad you can't play Conflagrate as an instant. Then you would be able to win on anyone's turn.

I'm pretty sure that Storm wouldn't do anything. Storm refers to spells that are cast each turn, and when you copy a spell, it doesn't trigger things like "whenever you cast a spell". Copying isn't the same as casting I believe.

Somebody help me break this down.  So the swans trigger will go on the stack as soon as the first copy of chain of plasma deals damage to it right?  My concern is when does the copy of chain go on the stack and when do you have to discard a card.

In order to copy chains does a player have to discard a card upon resolution of the first chains?  If so, wouldn't that mean you discarded a card before swan's trigger even goes on the stack?

Continuing with this logic: After resolution of chains the swan trigger and the copy of chains should go on the stack.  In what order do they go on?  Is it up to you since you control both effects?

How exactly does this combo work mechanically?

Step by step:

1) Play Swans
2) Play Chain
3) Draw cards
4) Discard and copy
5) ???
6) PROFIT

yeah that's what I want it do do but how does it actually work on the stack?  Wouldn't the discarding of a card and copying of chain of plasma actually occur during the resolution of the first chain of plasma?  In other words, before swans ability is even triggered.

Swan's ability is triggered when you play chains because of the word "then" in the card effect the damage happens first and then draw cards, then discard to copy.

Swans ability is not a trigger. It is a type of replacement effect known as a prevention effect. When an event is replaced the replacement occurs at the time the event would have happened. In this case drawing cards replaces the damage.
So chains resolves damage is dealt however you draw instead. Chains continues to resolve allowing the discard
