If every creature is Black, why use Distorting Lens?

A backup color changing option?  So you can turn their planeswalkers black?  I think once an ability has been cast from a permanent I believe it becomes seperated from that permanent in such a way that changing the color of the permanent won't change the color of the ability though, No idea here

If you notice the title is no blocking for anyone else. You change the color of your creature so it can block yet still has pro black so it won't be hurt

Where's the rule that says it won't become Black in addition to the other color?
